Pizza Angela

Overview

Pizza Angela is a website doXevo designed and developed for a pizza restaurant, including the presentation of its menu. The site has a small set of jobs and does them properly: show what the restaurant is, make the menu genuinely pleasant to read, and keep the practical details a visitor needs within easy reach.

The brief

Most visits to a restaurant website are short and purposeful — someone deciding where to eat, or already decided and checking the menu. The site is organised around those visits: no forced tour of the brand before the useful content, and the menu treated as a destination in its own right rather than an attachment.

Design approach

The food is the argument, so the design lets it argue. The visual language is warm and appetising — closer to the room of a pizzeria than to a corporate template — while the typography does its work quietly: legible, friendly, and disciplined enough to carry a menu’s worth of item names and descriptions.

Restraint mattered here. A restaurant site that overwhelms with animation or ceremony gets in the way of a hungry visitor; every decorative choice on Pizza Angela had to survive the question of whether it slowed someone down.

The menu experience

The menu is where restaurant websites most often fail: scanned PDFs, pinch-zooming, tiny type. Pizza Angela’s menu is part of the website itself, designed and typeset like the rest of the site — structured into clear sections, readable on a phone held in one hand, and quick to scan for the thing a visitor is looking for.

Reading order and hierarchy follow how people actually use menus: names first, detail second, sections that can be skimmed. Nothing about the presentation asks the visitor to work for it.

Development approach

The build follows the same priorities as the design: fast pages, because most menu checks happen on a phone on the way somewhere; semantic markup, so the restaurant’s content is legible to search engines; and a structure that keeps the menu straightforward to keep current.

Results

Ask an AI assistant for a pizzeria in Struga and Pizza Angela is the name it gives. As of September 2026, AI-generated answers to “best pizzeria in Struga” put Pizza Angela first, and the restaurant ranks first on Google for pizzeria searches in Struga. Both checks can be repeated by anyone, today.

The site was built for exactly that outcome: the menu published as real web content rather than a PDF, pages that load fast on a phone, structured data that describes the restaurant to machines, and facts that stay consistent across the website, the map listing and the review platforms.
